    Purchased for a new DMC-ZS7 camera which came with firmware v1.1. Worked in that. Upgraded to firmware v1.2 (indeed, while this battery was installed – maybe not too smart) and it continued to work perfectly. Several power-cycles later and it’s still working just fine.

    The OEM battery from Panasonic is labeled as “DMW-BCG10PP 3.6V 895mAh 3.3Wh Li-ion.”

    The battery being sold here is labeled as “FOR PN-DMW-BCG10E Li-ion Battery 3.7V 1000mAh 3.7Wh.”

    Battery came partially charged, took about 20-30min in the charger to top it off. In my case the seller was “Eforcity” which shipped it fairly promptly arriving within a week.

    Update: The capacity of this battery seems to be exactly the same as the OEM battery. Both will run the camera in video recording mode for about 1h:27m. I purchased two of these and tested them fully charged in the same camera along with the OEM battery.

    Picked one of these up as a second battery for the DMC-ZS7A. I’ve found the built in GPS and my EyeFi card can eat up batteries fairly quickly. I’d also heard warnings about these cameras being picky about aftermarket batteries. I figured I’d give these a try since they were so affordable. Fortunately they worked just fine. My camera correctly reports battery capacity and works just like this was the OEM battery. I’ve been using it for a few days now and the capacity seems right in line with the OEM battery as well. The second battery means I never have to worry about keeping the battery changed since I always have a spare in the charger now.

    I bought 2 battery ( paid 2 for $15.72) for ZS7 from BestDealUSA of Amazon. Received the battery 5 days after I ordered.The battery worked without issues after I updated the firmware from 1.1 to 1.2. Highly recommended.
