    I have Panasonic FZ150K. I bought this as a back up to Lumix original battery. Panasonic batteries have an ID chip which causes problems when you use generics in latest cameras. So far, no such problems with this generic.

    First, it charges in the panasonic charger, just like original. Right off the pack, it was fully charged in 2-3 hours, green charger light went off after charging is complete, battery did not feel hot. Charging time; comparable to original.

    Second, after putting in the camera, it worked just fine. Battery level indicator “shows”; unlike other generic batteries that do not show battery power. There may be variations among various generics that flooded market and many of them do not show battery level indicator. This one does show. So, I am very happy. It showed full three bars when I placed fully charged battery in the camera and all menu functions are accessible.

    So, get this as an inexpensive backup and you cannot go wrong. You can always use this first before you use your original panasonic when you are taking hundreds of pictures in a single day.

    I will strongly recommend.

    I just charged the battery and put it in the camera and it works. BUT, the camera doesn’t display remaining battery life with this battery so I won’t use it now because I won’t be able to tell when I’m about to run out of battery power. I’ll have to go buy the name brand version.

    I bought this battery to have a spare. Although it was quite inexpensive compared to the name brand battery it replaces it has worked quite well so far. I am unable to address life span as it is a recent purchase, but would recommend it based on how it has performed to date.
